Tanium Weekly Release Update - January 20th, 2017

Tanium Discover 2.0.0

Tanium has released a major update to Tanium Discover to deliver a significantly improved service layer and user interface enhancements.

Highlights include:

  • Incorporation of System Status as a source of asset information.
  • Enhanced mappings of MAC address data to vendors.
  • Ability to configure the import process to use question timeout instead of completion percentage.
  • Separation of Client Deployment into a separately installed and updated solution.

As this is a significant update, Tanium recommends that customers consult their Technical Account Manager and the Tanium Discover User Guide.

Tanium IOC Detect 2.5.1

Tanium has introduced a minor update to Tanium IOC Detect in order to improve integration with Tanium Trace for indicator matching, improve intelligence management, and address a variety of bug fixes.

Tanium Protect 1.0.6

Tanium has introduced a minor update to Tanium Protect in order to resolve an issue in which Protect scheduled activities could fail to run. This release also resolves an issue in which some rules could not be added when editing a policy, and includes miscellaneous other bug fixes and UI enhancements.

Tanium Trends 1.0.2

Tanium has introduced a minor update to Tanium Trends in order to better accommodate users with different roles, provide visibility to version and usage information for Java and Elasticsearch, and address a variety of bug fixes.

Managed Applications 2.3.0

Tanium has introduced an update to Managed Applications in order to improve users ability to customize installation and upgrade workflows for their applications. In addition to supporting additional application types, this release adds endpoint logging on install and upgrade, new criteria for determining application update and install applicability, and improved support for customized application definitions.

Windows Security Patch Management 2.2.2

Tanium has introduced a minor update to Windows Security Patch Management in order to resolve an issue in which Windows Security Patch Management packages could contain duplicate files.
