Tanium Weekly Release Update - March 31st, 2017

Tanium Incident Response 3.3.1

Tanium has released a minor update to Tanium Incident Response to support the Enterprise Hunting page in Tanium Trace and to update the 'Scheduled Tasks' sensor to prevent potential communication with Active Directory servers.

Tanium Initial Content 6.5.9

Tanium has released a minor update to Initial Content in order to address three sensors that can use excess resources under certain conditions - 'User Profile Directory Details', 'Local Administrators', and 'Last Date of Local Administrator Login'.

Tanium advises customers to update to this version of Initial Content.  If customers are unable to upgrade, it is recommended to remove these sensors temporarily to avoid any potential performance concerns.  Please contact your Technical Account Manager with any questions.

Tanium Integrity Monitor 1.0.0

Tanium is excited to announce the general availability of Integrity Monitor 1.0.

Tanium Integrity Monitor is designed to help users further simplify regulatory compliance and make enterprise-wide file integrity monitoring more effective than existing point tools. It enables users to consolidate point solutions into a single integrated platform. This helps compliance and security teams become more efficient by tapping into the speed, scale, and completeness of the Tanium platform.

  • Avoid the complexity of deploying several point tools and tuning them for individual endpoints.
  • Start monitoring faster with provided templates of critical files.
  • Integrate with other modules on the Tanium platform for compliance and security hygiene.
  • Go from alert to active investigation using Tanium Trace.
  • By leveraging Tanium Connect, integrate with existing change management and incident response systems.
  • Label events how you want and decide what events trigger through Tanium Connect
  • Script interactions with Tanium Integrity Monitor leveraging the REST API.

Tanium IOC Detect 2.5.3

Tanium has released a minor update to IOC Detect to improve support for future platform releases and address miscellaneous bug fixes.

Tanium Patch 2.0.1

Tanium has released a minor update to Patch to prevent failed upgrades from adversely affecting the Tanium Console.

Tanium Protect 1.0.8

Tanium has released an update to Protect in order to add support for basic reporting for online endpoints. Reports for Microsoft Defender virus detection events, AppLocker audit and block events, and Software Restriction Policy block events are now available in the Protect workbench. In addition to reporting capabilities this release adds support for future platform releases and addresses miscellaneous bug fixes.

Tanium Trace 2.0.4

Tanium has released a minor update to Trace to introduce a new Enterprise Hunting page to seamlessly facilitate hunting and incident response workflows within the Trace interface and to address miscellaneous bug fixes.

Please note that the Enterprise Hunting page is only available on the Tanium Server 7.0 and above platform.
