Learning Management System (LMS) FAQ

 

When I try to view online training in the LMS, I only see a blank screen. How do I fix this?

This is most likely related to Adobe Flash being blocked by your browser. Use the following steps to allow an exception. If these do not work, email Training@Tanium.com.

Note: These steps are written for Chrome, but other browsers have similar settings.
  • Open Chrome, and click the Menu Button > Settings
  • Scroll down and select Show advanced settings…
  • Select Content Settings
  • Scroll down to the Flash section, and choose Manage exceptions…
  • Add the following exception [*.]tanium.com (including the square brackets)
  • Relaunch the online course, and it should load properly.

 

How do I reset my LMS password?

You can reset your password by going to Learn.Tanium.com and clicking on the “Forgot Password?” link.  You will be prompted to enter your Learning Management System username or email address.  An automated email with a password reset link will be sent to the email address associated with your Learning Management System account.

Our automated emails from the Learning Management System can sometimes end up in Spam / Junk email folders, so be sure to check there. If the emails are being blocked, try whitelisting noreply@myabsorb.com.

I have a change (email, name, etc.) I need to make on my LMS account. How can I do that?

Some information on your account can be changed simply by clicking the drop-down menu on the top-right corner of your LMS dashboard and selecting "Edit Profile."

However, some fields (email address, functional role) must be changed by a site administrator. Please reach out to us at training@tanium.com and we will make the change for you.

 

How do I access my training lab guides?

After you have registered for a Tanium training session, you can access your lab guides through Tanium’s Learning Management System at https://Learn.Tanium.com. After logging in, click on the “My Courses” link. Locate your desired training course, and select View. In the training course details, select the Resources link. Your lab guides will be accessible from there.

 

Will I receive a certificate of completion once I complete this training?

Yes. Certificates of completion are available for completed Tanium training courses. Students who are in attendance for each scheduled day will automatically receive a certificate upon completion.  Our Tanium trainers mark student attendance daily.

 

Where can I find my certificate of completion?

Your certificate of completion can be found at https://Learn.Tanium.com under the “My Transcripts” link when you are logged in to your account. Here you can view, download, and print your certificate of completion.

 

I completed my training course, but my certificate of completion shows “pending or not completed.” How do I fix this?

Please email Training@Tanium.com to resolve this.

 

Can I get CPE Credits from this class?

Tanium training courses and workshops may count towards Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. After attending a full Tanium training event, a certificate of completion can be provided. This certificate can be used to apply for CPE credits. Note that you must attend the full event to receive a certificate.
